RE: Oil change intervals

As long as you get it up to full operating temperature when you do use it (to remove condensation) you will be fine. Think of all the vehicles sitting on car lots for more than 6 months.

RE: And in other news....Peco no longer sells starcraft pups

I would drive the 100 miles. I had a Starcraft pup for 3 years and chose a local dealer to purchase my Fleetwood Orbit HTT. It was a big mistake for me and wish I drove the 100 miles to get a Starcraft HTT. JMO. The Orbit didn't stay with us long.

RE: My bumper fell off

Jester was just poking some good natured fun at you :W; I don’t listen to that little voice as much I should also! :B The rant was over the post about hanging a Genny off the back of a bumper!!!!not a very smart thing to do IMO. Don Darn, can't have any fun here, Like I would hang a generator on that flimsy thing, SHEESH, I was kidding. I dont use it for a genny, I use it for firewood...:S:S:S All in fun, the frame welded way is the correct way. Happy campin folks..

RE: How many of you bring your smokers to campgrounds?

I have to tell you this is a MISTAKE, one thing you haven't thought about is all the new friends you'll make with a smoker at your site. :B Where are you camping next..... :p I have to agree, That is the kind of second hand smoke everyone likes.:B:B

RE: Just when you think you've seen it all.........

He HAD to tie the dog to the bumper. He had to go to the other side of the truck to take a dump himself. Cant walk a dog and poop at the same time. Well some can:B......I love these posts.......... Hey is it ok not to have my dog on a leash when I camp at Walmart???

RE: My bumper fell off

This is rather good timing on my part. We have already put our TT away for the winter, but we decided that we should by a bike rack. Here is the bike rack we purchased: http://i315.photobucket.com/albums/ll458/OurJayco/62bca1fe.jpg So I am guessing that I should have some reinforcements on the bumper of the TT before we head out next season? :@ I can't believe they even sell these....you're taking the weight of the bikes, ADDING it to the bumper load FARTHER OUT from the bumper so the torque is multiplied. Yes, either reinforce the bumper, or better yet, have a frame mounted receiver installed, send this rack back and get one that goes in a 2" receiver. I have the same rack and it works great!!! I dont use it for bikes though, I mount my Champion Genny on it. It is great, no one rides my A##.:W

RE: To Cover or Not to Cover

We don't cover at this point. A caulk inspection and good wash and wax job before winter is all I did. Now, I would prefer to have a garage for the camper, that would be ideal! DITTO

RE: Electric blankets OK for RVs--Sunbeam says NO

We thought of purchasing an electric blanket, but chose not to. We camp at many places without electric and choose not to bring the genny as we only use it for using the AC. Therefore we have been using the K9 SYSTEM. It works very well to keep us warm, and does not require any electric. Unfortunately at times it gives off a distinct odor. I have got to stop feeding our 65 lb dog hot dogs before bed.:B

RE: How One Can Tell Winter Is Near......

Less threads on all the forums. Now we can start looking forward to all the Walmart threads to entertain us on those long cold nights.

RE: Sold "As-Is"

but in my neck of the woods As-Is = As-Is We have all read signs that state: - "At your own risk" - "We assume no responsibility" As with "as-is", this can always be overturned in favor of the plantiff. There is no solid protection clause, only those that have not seen a good lawyer challenge. If the dealer has prior knowledge of a defect and does not disclose the knowledge to a consumer, he is liable. Period! In many courts, if he should have had prior knowledge, he is liable. Well how does that apply to a consignment sale or if I sell a unit out of my back yard?? Are you telling me a dealer is going to be responsable for someone elses unit they are selling. It HAS been tried in my neck of the woods and the buyer walked out of court STILL with 2 pieces per say minus lawyer fees

RE: Windshield washer fluid - winterizing???

I have some washer fluid in the tank and lines that is only good down to +32F. We have unit covered and dont plan on using, do I need to siphon out the tank and spray out the remainder in the lines, or can this be left in as long as not using?? temps will be below freezing for several months thanks doko

RE: Sold "As-Is"

There may be some recourse in some states, but in my neck of the woods As-Is = As-Is, If you buy a used motor home As-Is from a dealer and it breaks into 2 pieses when you pull it off the lot, then you own both pieces. Especially if it is a consignment sale. This applies to private sales also.

RE: And yet another genny question

Check around. The Home Depots around us didn't have any but Tractor supply co. had a few in stock.

RE: Winterizing and the Weather

We are just getting started, snow or no snow... It is worth the extra hour to dump and drain and the $7.00 for antifreeze just to get out there and have fun, even if it is a half hr away...No cabin fever for us.:B
